Direct descaling system
The customer is one of the leading special steel producers in India and is part of a multinational group which mainly operates in the automotive industry.
Inoxihp implemented a descaling plant consisting of 3 pumping groups with PF260 pumps + 1 in stand-by with independent lubrication. Each pumping group was fitted with a three-phase, 200 kW electric motor which supplied 347 l/min at a pressure of 250 bar. The project involved the use of the VPZ model unloading valve as well as the 2VDS model descaling valve. The piping system installed is both for extraction with relevant duplex filter and for supply. The electrical control panel with VFD unit was included in the supply to regulate the pump flow rate.
The solution that was created tailored to the customer’s need to descale a variety of profile types. It was necessary to develop multiple spray headers to adapt to the different shapes. Using the VFD means the pump flow rate can be adapted to different requirements, while ensuring maximum efficiency from the energy point of view.
